Identify a time when you believe a company acted unethically. Describe the situation and discuss the action on the part of the company that led you to this conclusion.

In your response to your classmates, explain what the company could have done differently to act ethically. (see classmates response below)

One time I believe a company acted unethically involved McDonald’s, resulting in a lawsuit regarding the company’s marketing toward children, encouraging kids to guilt their parents into purchasing happy meals that McDonalds and unhealthy eating habits. The exploitation of children was seen as extremely unethical and resulted in legal repercussions as well for the company. I believe that marketing to children is unethical. Furthermore, I believe enticing children to eat unhealthy foods with the reward of being a toy in a Happy Meal is not ethical either. I think that McDonald’s acted unethically in many ways when it came to the situations I mentioned above.
