The “true crime” podcast is the newest sensation sweeping the nation. Investigative journalists

and entertainers alike flex their powers of deduction and guide their listeners on a riveting

journey of drama and intrigue. The subject discusses real cases from the past or cold cases that

deserved an outside look.

Each student will listen to a podcast or series centered around a criminal case and write a short

synopsis and an analysis of how close the host got to authentically presenting the material. Did

other news sources Did the host uncover new evidence? Did the podcast lead to a case re-

opening? If there were such revelations, why and how did the host uncover them?

Wherever you get your podcasts (Spotify, NPR, etc.) should provide plenty of options. Please

adhere to the outline below.
