You read about understanding the relationship between heredity and environment. The following assignment will be a reflective piece on how heredity and environment played a role in your own development. Review Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory and Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological System’s Theory and consider them as they relate to your development.

For your assignment, you will reflect on how heredity and environment played a role in your earliest years. Using the textbook and other articles you find, discuss the following questions in APA format (using a cover page, narrative style, and reference section). Be sure to cite from the textbook and other articles that align with the questions.

1. Discuss the impact of heredity and environment.

2. How did heredity have an impact on you as a child? Environment?

a. What do you notice about yourself that comes directly from genetics (if you know this information…if not, discuss what you believe might be from genetics versus environment).

b. What about you is more so from the environment?

3. How do these factors (heredity/environment) play a positive and/or negative impact in your life?

4. Discuss Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory OR the Ecological Systems Theory as it relates to you.

This assignment is worth 100 points and will be due on Day 7 of Week 1 by 11:59pm CST.
