Reflect on your readiness to practice as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP). Guiding questions are provided or you may write about what you felt was most significant to you for the week. 

Week 1 Guiding Questions

This week you learned about the PMHNP scope of practice, including medication management and psychotherapy.

  • Which of the two do you find more interesting? Why?
  • Do pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy complement each other? Which modality should be implemented first?
  • How does your state nurse practice act impact your ability to prescribe psychotherapeutic agents?

Include the following sections:
