Research Prospectus: Initial Draft Submission Assignment Instructions

Overview

The doctoral candidate will assemble the
Research Prospectus: Initial Draft
Submission Assignment and submit it to the Dissertation Supervisor for review and possible revision. The submission must be in Word format. The Dissertation Supervisor will offer comments on the submitted document using the Word “Review” feature. Because this task will be completed as a process requiring several possible revisions and resubmissions, the student will be allowed multiple resubmissions with the highest score counting toward the course grade. All resubmissions are made at the original submission link.

Instructions

On the date indicated at the course site, you are to submit a copy of your

Research Prospectus: Initial Draft
Submission Assignment for Supervisor review. Your submission must be in Word format. Your Supervisor will offer comments on your document. You likely be required to resubmit your work multiple times before it is considered to be “Defense-Ready” by your Supervisor. All submissions and review dates are tentative and depend on the quality of the work produced and the changes required. Unlimited “attempts” are allowed for this submission.

You should allow a 5-10 business days for revisions to be reviewed and returned. Please indicate clear what changes you made to each draft resubmission.

All submissions must be in correct APA style and may be returned for corrrection unread if major style issues are evident.

(Hint: During the weeks between submission and reviews, while waiting for the response from your committee, you can be working on Appendices, Instruments, Consent Letters, and other relevant dissertation materials.)

Students must receive a minimum of 125 points on this document prior to moving to Task 3.

Note: Your draft assignment will be checked for originality of your work before submitting your final assignment. Your assignment will be checked via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.
