Essay – Scientific method in Psychology

Objective: Demonstrate comprehension related to the use of the scientific method in psychology and its importance.

Instructions

a.    Discuss what the scientific method is and how it solidified the study of behavior.
b.    Search in a scientific research databases. It can be about any topic related to behavior. Choose a related research article.
c.    Read and analyze the selected scientific article. Contrast with what you learned about the scientific method and its use in the psychology field.
d.    Write an essay in which:

I.    Explain and discuss the scientific method and its use in psychology. 
II.    Summarize and explain what was done in the selected study or review. Include the type of investigation, procedure, and conclusions.
III.    Conclude with the important findings of the selected article and how you understand that the study or review contributes to the discipline of psychology.

e.    Your essay must be a minimum of two (2) pages. Your essay must be in APA style (references must also be included in APA style).

Be sure to review the

· Submit your assignment by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday.

· Contribute a minimum of two pages. It should include at least two academic sources, formatted and cited in APA.
