Science Experiment Project: Proposal Assignment Instructions

The purpose of this project is to allow you to utilize the process skills that you have learned to design and carry out a scientific investigation. By actually conducting an experiment, you have the opportunity to make observations, classify variables, measure changes, predict results, infer causes of results, and communicate findings. This assignment should be formatted according to current APA standards.

Each experiment proposal should include:

· A title

·
A literature review, with citations, that shows the content an educator would teach to the students to allow them to form a hypothesis. Define and discuss the variables in this section. 

· A listing of all variables (labeled as independent, dependent, and control)

· A full description of the experimental design. This should include a detailed list of exact materials and a procedure that one could use to repeat or replicate the experiment.

· A hypothesis stated in if/then format
