Write a 2 page essay
outlining your initial philosophy of education. Reflect on your reasons for becoming an educator and what you hope to achieve through this course.

What do I mean by a philosophy of education statement?

A philosophy of education statement articulates your core beliefs about teaching and learning. It typically outlines YOUR purpose of education, such as fostering critical thinking, creativity, and preparing students for future challenges. It would reflect your role as a teacher- what does that look like? Who inspires you? What kind of teacher do you dream to be??

The statement can include things important to you like preferred teaching methods, such as collaborative or experiential learning, and perspectives on assessment, whether through standardized tests or more holistic approaches.
