To do this effectively, principals must understand their leadership style, values, and priorities and how these align with established standards and district expectations. They must also be knowledgeable about the leadership expectations of school stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to apply discernment and practical wisdom in making ethical decisions using research-based best practices that are in the interest of all stakeholders and promote human flourishing and student learning within the school community.
