Draft Research Paper: Components of Organizational Culture
Create an outline for the research paper that will be part of the summative assessment
for this competency. In the paper, you will analyze ways in which organizations can use
their identity, structure, policies and procedures to shape a unique culture. In this
outline, create a rough draft of your paper. This can be a formal outline, a mind map, or
an actual draft of your paper.
You will want to consider the following in your outline:
● The definition of organizational culture and how you will analyze this topic in
your paper
● A review of organizational identity, structure, policies and procedures
● How are these applied to shaping a unique organizational culture?
● How important are these components to the success of an organization?
Why?
● Explanation of how cultural and organizational roles can apply towards
organizational and higher education leadership
● Summary of your thoughts on the topic
You will need to have at least 5 sources for the paper and you should include those in
this formative assessment as well.
