After reading the required resources, answer and discuss the following questions:

1. Explain in your own words the concept of psychological disorder.

2. What are the three (3) common criteria for identifying psychological disorders? Explain your answer.

3. Identify at least two (2) common myths about psychological disorders.

4. What are the seven (7) psychological perspectives to explain psychological disorders?

5. What is the purpose of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)? Identify at least five (5) DSM sample subcategories of psychological disorders and give an example of each one.
