Follow these guidelines when completing each component of the assignment. Contact your course faculty if you have questions.

General instructions:

Reflect on the mission, vision, and values of a workplace organization and how the workplace organization addresses a culture of excellence. Note: you may use the same workplace organization that you discussed in this week’s Collaboration Café.  

Include the following sections (detailed criteria listed below and in the grading rubric):

  1. Use Canva.com or another platform of your choice to create an infographic. View the video below to learn more about using Canva. Using Canva
  1. Ensure the infographic is readable.
  2. Ensure the infographic is well-organized and easy to follow.
  3. Correctly cite and reference ideas and information that come from scholarly sources of information. Include in-text citations and list references at the bottom of the infographic.
  4. Follow rules of grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation consistent with formal, scientific writing.
  5. Abide by Chamberlain University academic integrity policy.
  6. Submit the completed infographic as a PDF or JPG file to the assignment Dropbox.
  7. Submit a screenshot of the completed infographic.
  8.  
    1. Highlight the date and time your infographic was created as shown in the image below.
    2. The submitted infographic must match the screenshot and reflect the current academic session.

Include the following sections/headings in the infographic. 

  1. Culture of Excellence
    1. Explain the concept of a culture of excellence in healthcare.
    2. Identify three specific organizational characteristics or practices that reflect a culture of excellence and briefly describe each characteristic or practice.
    3. Discuss how a culture of excellence is significant to your selected advanced nursing role in one or two sentences.
    4. Provide support from at least one scholarly source.
  2. Mission, Vision, and Values
    1. Describe the mission, vision, and values of a selected healthcare organization (note: the organization you choose must have all three elements: mission, vision, and values statements).
    2. Explain the interrelationships of the mission, vision, and values in one or two sentences.
    3. Describe how an organization’s mission, vision, values, and organizational structure contribute to organizational culture in one or sentences.
  3. Leading a Culture of Excellence
    1. Describe how the advanced nurse leader can leverage the mission, vision, values, and organizational structure to create positive change in the organizational culture in one or two sentences.
    2. Identify two leadership strategies the advanced nurse leader can use to support a culture of excellence and briefly describe each strategy.
    3. Provide support from at least one scholarly source.
