I’m Steven Edwards, originally from North Carolina, though I’ve lived in various places over the years, giving me a chance to explore diverse communities and environments.

Professionally, I’m an IT Plant Analyst at Smithfield, where I’ve spent several years honing my skills in the field. My job focuses on troubleshooting, system maintenance, and keeping technology running smoothly in a dynamic manufacturing setting. One standout moment in my career was spearheading the implementation of remote access security policies and performing STIG compliance audits for secure systems—challenging but rewarding work.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity on October 25th and am currently pursuing a master’s in Business, specializing in project management, and on track to graduate in 2026. My career aspiration is to step into a leadership position, like Senior Plant IT Systems Manager, where I can apply my technical know-how to enhance IT operations on a broader scale.

Beyond work and studies, I manage a small business and juggle family life, travel, and my kids’ schedules. I’m also passionate about entrepreneurial pursuits, including tech ventures like Oasis Technologies LLC and digital projects such as Fine Art Inksters and Oasis of Gamers.

I’m taking this class to further broaden my knowledge and sharpen skills that will support both my professional ambitions and personal development. I’m excited to connect with all of you, gain fresh insights, and dive into thoughtful conversations.

A fun tidbit about me: I’m an avid collector of historical video games and memorabilia—a passion I share with my son. We’re fascinated by how gaming technology has evolved and influenced the wider tech landscape. Digging into vintage games, consoles, and artifacts not only fuels our hobby but also deepens my understanding of how innovations in hardware and software have driven progress in computing, cybersecurity, and interactive media—areas I’m deeply invested.

Hello Class, my name is Clint and I reside in Madison, WI. I’ve been in the telecommunication industry for the last 20 years mostly in a sales leadership capacity. I’ve been fortunate to have lived in several markets including Los Angeles, CA & Birmingham, AL prior to moving to the Midwest, and blessed with talented and passionate leaders to help guide me through my journey.

When I’m not working or going to school, I enjoy spending time with my adult children who live an hour from me near Chicago.  Although they haven’t yet blessed me with grandchildren, they do have fur babies that get spoiled quite often.

My future plans are to complete my MBA, and in the near future pursue teaching as I wind down my telecom career.
