Overview of Summative:

First, you should provide a description of the scenario that you will attempt to support.
Then you will share the questions you would ask during the initial conversation with the
teacher you are coaching.

Specific Assignment Details
For the description of the scenario, be certain to include the following information to
support your reader’s understanding of the area of need:

● Teacher’s experience and other pertinent details, similar to the description in the
examples provided.

● Grade level and student outcome that is a concern

● Time of year and any pertinent data and/or dates,

such as time allotted to coach before the next assessment window or significant data
collection.

The three questions you would ask during your initial conversation should be aligned
with your rationale for the approach you would take in this Instructional Coaching
scenario.

After listing the questions and at least one potential response for each question, you
should include a brief narrative with your rationale for the approach you have selected
and support from the text and/or other professional literature.

The description and the questions should be completed in a .doc file or .pdf that is
formatted in APA.
