Write a thought-provoking essay (7-9 pages) that raises questions, singles out issues and formulates rational arguments for ethical action.

Topic to discuss is how throughout human history, there have been an untold number of violations of values, a disregard for the value of life, and a breakdown in ethics. The most horrific examples are ones where huge numbers of victims have lost their lives and in the most extreme cases of human rights violations, events are the result of systematic genocide.

Quote/Prompt is:

“Human suffering anywhere concerns men and women everywhere.” Quote found in Night by Elie Wiesel.

Conduct research on historical and current events as related to the quote, and respond from an ethical point of view regarding the quote’s meaning/message. Site sources accordingly.
