Diverse and Special Needs Assignment

There will be times in your class where you have students with diverse and special needs. As teachers, it

will be important for you to make modifications to be able to include these students and make them

feel comfortable. For this unit’s assignment, you will be responsible for taking a Physical Education game

and recreating it with modifications for someone with special needs. You can consider whatever “need”

you want (i.e. blindness, missing a limb, paraplegic). These modifications must be safe and acceptable

for all students in the classroom. Please upload a video of your game being played with your

modification and state specifics (as portrayed in the film) on how you can help these students learn the

task. If the video is too large to upload to the discussion, please submit it to YouTube and then post the

link in the discussion forum.
