Overview:

 In this unit, you will finish working on your course project (Biological Welfare Agent). All your research and focus for this course project will be taking on the role of an emergency manager who has to brief an elected official (mayor, governor, etc.) on a threat agent of your choice. You will discuss the agent, its historical use, its effects, why it is of concern, detection, and response methods.

 As an emergency manager and providing information on your chosen threat agent. 

  • Discuss your chosen threat agent.
    • Discuss its historical use.
    • Explain the threat agent’s effects.
    • Explain why it is of concern.
    • Describe detection methods for this threat agent.
      • If there are no current detection methods, describe how it might be detected in the future.
    • Explain current response methods for the threat agent.
      • Suggest response methods changes that would improve the community experiencing that agent.
  • Ensure you provide at least three primary resources and a reference page with your resources.

  • Military websites and investigations
  • Laws and legal documents
  • Academic and professional journals
  • Newspaper articles containing first-hand accounts
  • Interviews with witnesses

  • Data from studies and surveys.

  Requirements: 

  • Use a minimum of three primary source references.
  • Submit a Word document with your references in APA format.
