Evidently, in planning and drafting my essay on “The Benefits of Genetically Modified Plants (GMOs) in Agriculture,” rhetoric played a significant role. I strategically employed rhetorical techniques to engage my audience right from the introduction. By emphasizing the global importance of GMOs in agriculture, I aimed to capture the reader’s interest. The topic extends beyond mere farming practices, affecting global food security, environmental sustainability, and biotechnological advancements. This rhetorical approach helped me establish the relevance of my essay. Furthermore, my thesis statement aligns with the Aristotelian rhetorical appeals of ethos, logos, and pathos. Ethos is established through references to authoritative sources and research. Logos is present in the logical structure of my argument, where I’ve systematically outlined the main points. While pathos may be more subtly integrated, I intended to evoke empathy and emotional engagement by emphasizing concerns about global food security and ethical considerations associated with GMO use.

However, there are two specific areas of my essay where I could use some feedback. First, I’m grappling with source integration and citation. I want to ensure that I seamlessly incorporate my sources into the essay, using appropriate signal phrases and citation styles consistently throughout the paper. I’m also concerned about missing citations and want to make sure that every claim or statement is adequately supported by relevant sources. Achieving the right balance between my analysis and the information from my sources is crucial for the overall quality of the essay. Second, I’m finding it challenging to convey the economic and ethical implications of GMO adoption with clarity. These aspects are complex, and I aim to define key terms and concepts related to these implications. Besides, I want to use real-world examples or case studies to illustrate my points effectively. It is quite imperative that my arguments in this section are well-supported and logically connected to my thesis. I’m open to receiving constructive feedback from my peers to enhance these aspects of my essay.
