Leadership Traits Take a look at the qualities of an effective school leader outlined in the

 article.  He lists 12 qualities that strong leaders possess.  How do the leadership traits explained on pp. 23 – 27 in our text compare to the qualities shared in the article?  Between the two resources, which do you find most helpful and aligned to your beliefs? Why?

Option 2: The Three Bs Use VoiceThread to share your thoughts on the following question. Read case study 2.2 on pp. 42 – 44.  Using video or voice commenting, share what you believe to be the strongest leadership trait of each of the presidents described.  Share which trait(s) you would like to develop for yourself and why.

Leadership Strengths– We often learn the most about leadership by observing the behaviors of those in leadership positions; we learn from what they do well and from what they do less than well.   Using the strengths listed in Table 6.1 (p. 128) or Table 6.3 (p. 131), discuss 2 or 3 key strengths that you have observed in a school leader.  Share how you were able to recognize these strengths and how they influenced the behavior of others.  You may also include an observable weakness, how you recognized the weakness, and its influence on others.
