This assignment is to test knowledge and assimilation of course objective five.

In this course we discussed a number of counter terrorism and protective measures related to international terrorism. This final paper is your opportunity to present your views as to the optimal approaches to prevent terrorist attacks. In this research paper you are to propose both overseas offensive actions to prevent or preempt terrorist attacks, and well as domestic (Homeland) security measures and protocols to effectively counter terrorist attacks. Your paper should be balanced with approximately half of your paper focused on countering terrorism abroad, with the remainder emphasizing how to prevent international terrorists from entering the U.S. or inspiring attacks here at home.

Technical Requirements

1. Your paper must be at a minimum of 6-8 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit).

1. Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content.

1. Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space.

1. Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework. 

1. Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.

1. All submissions will be graded using the assignment rubric.
