Being a professional educator and an aspiring evaluator, I will directly use the presented principles and roles of program evaluation in my practice by making data-driven decisions in order to engage the stakeholders in the process of program enhancement. Fitzpatrick et al. (2022) reveal that professional evaluators assist with the recording of program plans, develop an internal capacity to evaluate, and play the role of critical peers or watchdog/advocate depending on the specific situation of the evaluation. Most of them coincide with the responsibilities that I practice in my educational environment, including the planning of interventions, their effectiveness evaluations, and their results reports.

In particular, I can implement these principles by leading needs assessments to individualize professional development activities, creating logic models to explain the path between resources and results, and gathering qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate program fidelity and outcomes. Also, I would like to serve as a critical friend who delivers to colleague’s positive feedback that will be based on the data analysis system in order to increase the effectiveness of teaching and learning. In addition, I will also be raising the voice of marginalized communities by carrying out culturally responsive assessments weighing more on equity and inclusion in mind. Not only do these applications enhance educational performance, but they also indicate ethical and professional norms, which further support the place of evaluation in the organizational learning process and accountability (Fitzpatrick et al., 2022).
