In this assignment, you will apply the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response’s (ASPR) mission and key priorities and relate them to the four phases of emergency management – preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery and assess why these strengthen public perception of public health’s response role. 

Instructions: 

Review the four (4) phases of Emergency Management. Choose one of the public health scenarios below and discuss at least one appropriate public health activity during each of the four (4) phases of emergency management. Include how the public health actions you identify differ from traditional law enforcement, fire, and EMS actions, but support their objectives. 

• Scenario 1: A Community Outbreak of Influenza. 

• Scenario 2: Impending Storm necessitating the set-up of Medical Evacuation Shelters.

 • Scenario 3: Contamination of a community’s public water supply 

Requirements: 

• Submit a Microsoft Word document in APA format.
