Essay. 12 pts 1.5 pages minimum. What were the central thrust or point of Gestalt theories and how is it believed that Wertheimer originally came upon his idea of the Phi Phenomenon?  Make sure the discussion includes apparent motion, perception and reality. Jung established himself as an influential mind, developing a friendship with Sigmund Freud, founder of psychoanalysis, conducting a lengthy correspondence, paramount to their joint vision of human psychology. While Jung is considered one of the founders psychodynamic psychologies, his “analytical psychology” was frequently in conflict with Freud’s beliefs and led to their eventual split.  Jung is widely regarded as one of the most influential psychologists in history. His work has been influential in the fields of psychiatry, anthropology, archaeology, literature, philosophy, psychology, and religious studies.  He created some of the best-known psychological concepts, including synchronicity, archetypal phenomena, the collective unconscious, the psychological complex and extraversion and introversion.  Synchronicity is still the focus of much research and debate.  Jung spent his life trying to validate the concept. Using class lecture, the research articles supplied, and any other peer reviewed material explain:

  • 1). Synchronicity
  • 2). Jung’s relationship with Albert Einstein and the influence of physics on Jung’s ideas
  • 3). Jung’s relationship with Wolfgang Pauli and the nature of their collaboration and work. (Mae sure you include a-causality)
